MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!
So at the end of the year, it's always fun to try to compile what we've actually accomplished together and what results it has produced. We increase our operations year after year, and this year we have once again broken records as we landed 15 tours with 69 concerts, which generated a fantastic 301 jobs for musicians!
We want to thank all our collaborations partners in Europe and all our funders for believing in us!
#EJNgreentour with North Sea String Quartet 2023
The North Sea String Quartet will enlighten Sweden with a Green Pilot Tour from 28 November to 4 December. The tour consists of six concerts and one performance as a support band, three clinics and one meet-and-greet. It’s an amazing opportunity to highlight the climate issue and to talk about this very urgent matter.
This Green Pilot Tour is funded by Europe Jazz Network/Creative Europe and organized by Knutpunkt in collaboration with inJazz (NL).
#EJNgreentour with Lara Rosseel Quartet! When two similar touring networks from two different countries get together, things happen! JazzLab (Belgium) and Knutpunkt (Sweden) decided to collaborate and set up an exchange of musicians in their respective networks, and this is the result: In January 2023, the five musicians and the sound technician of the Lara Rosseel Quintet (BE) and all their instruments get squeezed into a tour van and drive to Sweden. The first stop is Svalöv, where they will give a clinic for the jazz students of the Fridhem Folkhögskola. After that, there are 6 consecutive days of concerts, in Halmstad, Lidköping, Vänersborg, Lerum, Partille and Helingsborg, in a nice round tour of south-west Sweden. This tour is partly made possible by EJN’s brand new support activity Green Pilot Tours. Thank you, EJN!

SAMARBETE! Vi har fått en ny samarbetspartner; Keychange - en internationell organisation som arbetar med jämställdhet i kulturbranschen. Vi är mycket stolta över att samverka med dem!
STÖD! TACK Kulturrådet för det stöd vi fått för extra streaming under januari månad.
Nätverket EJN! Vi är mycket glada över att meddela att Knutpunkt och Göteborg Artist Center blivit medlemmar i Europe Jazz Network. Det är otroligt roligt att samarbeta med jazzaktörer även utanför Västra Götaland och Sverige.

STÖD! Glädjande nyheter; Knutpunkt får leva vidare under år 2021. Det känns fantastiskt att få bekräftelse från Kulturnämnden Västra Götalandsregionen att vi är en viktig part vad gäller att skapa förutsättning för konsertverksamhet i västra Sverige.

RESTRIKTIONER! Strängare restriktioner i Västra Götaland gör att vi tyvärr har behövt ställa om våra publika arrangemang. Konserterna planeras läggas under år 2021 istället men livestreaming fortsätter vi med så mycket som vi möjligen kan! Kika in i kalendern och håll dig uppdaterad!
